He looks forward to the progression of Trinidad Carnival, not only as an industry, but as an art form, linking tradition to technological advancement, and hopes to one day play a part in this journey.

WARREN:
Warren LePlatte has been working as a designer and illustrator for just about 11 years. He currently teaches Graphic design and Photography.
RICHARD:
Richard Thomas 29, hailing from Coconut Drive in Morvant, aptly summarized in a phrase, “is a man on the outside”. Self described as “sufficiently edgy”, Richard’s work exhibits his proclivity to stretching one’s imagination off the page with his abstractions to still life. His medium of choice is pencil, and he occasionally dabbles on other media, but his trade is as a sketch artist.
Richard held his first exhibition in forth form while still attending Trinity College ,and has had several successful exhibits of his talent and skill since then, both individually and with members of his team. He continues to produce provoking pieces that require a different minds eye to appreciate
Richard is a tested and true young “MAS MAN”, entering the mas arena at the tender age of 16, certainly is part of the next generation of creators whose work will be compared to the carnival greats of generations past. he and his colleagues have been formally trained in the art of carnival, including wire bending, use of colour and textile selection in the camps of carnival stalwarts like Peter Minshall and Trevor Wallace.
He feels that these skills, which comprise the true carnival, are quickly being lost to “braid and appliqué” techniques used in most other mas camps. He firmly believes that the skill and artistry that are the essence of the festival need desperately to be revived. And hopes to realise this as a part of the “ZIGWA” team.
MICHAEL:
Michael Norgriff was born 6th September ,1979. And attended the Rosary Boys R.C. school and later went on to Trinity College. It was at Trinity College that the love and appreciation for art came out and it is at this institutuion that he exhibited for the first time as a fourth form student. After completion of art at A levels he went on to the University of the West Indies where he attained Upper Second Class Honours in Visual Arts. He would later go on to become a teacher at secondary school where he is currently a teacher at the La Romaine Secondary School.
